According to Greenfield, Anne Cook Cushing loaned her great-aunt's slippers worn "when she danced a minuet with Count Rochambeau." Mrs. Alfred Stone displayed a miniature depicting her grandfather, Nathaniel Appleton (1731–1798), and a silver plate used by General Washington at her great-grandfather's home.
