The Bannon Brothers Baseball Legends

Brother Bannon, baseball legends born in Amesbury, Massachusetts to Robert J Bannon and Ethel Evanson

Thomas Edward Bannon born in Amesbury, Massachusetts  May 8 1869 died January 26 1950 in Lynn, Massachusetts nicknamed “Ward Six” and “Uncle Tom”, was a professional baseball player and manager. He played Major League Baseball for the New York Giants in 1895 and 1896.

Jimmy Henry Bannon nickname was “Foxy Grandpa” played for College of the Holy Cross in Worcester. He was an outfielder–played for St Louis Browns in 1893. Born in Amesbury May 5 1871 d. March 24 1958 New Jersey. Read about his incident when playing for the Boston Beaneaters on May 15, 1894, when a fan lit a cigar in the right field bleachers and dropped the match through a crack.
